The Skinny to Getting Fit, not Fat
When it comes to nutrition, there are a ton of buzz words these days…Paleo,Keto , fasting, macros, Jenny Craig, and the list goes on and on. But what does it all mean? Well, for starters it means there is more than one way to get healthy, just like there are different programs to achieve fitness. And what works for one person, may be someone else’s misery.
So what are we supposed to do? Test. Fail. Reset. Test again. WHAT?
Research different nutrition plans, read the comments. Reading the comments is not only hilarious, but also very informative. You make come across someone just like you, who already answered questions you may already have regarding that particular diet. The greatest tool you have is…GOOGLE. Read everything, question everything. If something sparks your interest, dive deep into the internet abyss and before long, you’ll not only find what you have been looking for, but you’ll also be mentally prepared for what lies ahead.
So to help you on your journey, here are some questions you should ask yourself and research:
- What is my short term/long term goal? ex. 6 months, 1 year
- How committed do I plan on being? ex. meal prep, no alcohol, cheat meals allowed?
- How will this effect my performance? Ex. at work,gym home.
- Will I allow myself to mess up, but understand there will be bumps in the road, as long as i stay the course.
Finally, be honest with yourself, you have all the tools… and when the **** hits the fan, look at yourself in the mirror and repeat the line below…
THIS WILL BE DIFFICULT, AND REWARDING.
