Omar Bejarano Strength Coach (Intern)
Like many people, I played my share of sports growing up — in particular, baseball, where I enjoyed success in high school (All-League Honors) and played one year of Division III baseball while attending Stevens Institute. Beyond college, my fitness lagged quite a bit due to my own self-destructive behavior.
After some needed introspection, I rededicated myself to many aspects of life, including fitness. While I had shown some progress with the mundane health club routine, something was missing. I began to feel bored and unmotivated. It was by chance that I met Bill$ and had the opportunity to learn about CrossFit. I was intrigued yet a bit apprehensive about what it would be like to start over again with a new program at a new place. But my curiosity won, and I finally decided to give it a try. That was in spring of 2010; since then I have increased my fitness level more than at any other point in my life. There is no “routine” to instill boredom and I draw great inspiration from the camaraderie at the box. Each member wants the other to succeed, and the benefit of that group environment is great physical gains.
As an intern, I will do my best to help everyone who walks into the box achieve their fitness goals. We must all continue to push ourselves in order to realize our potential. There is always a new skill to learn, a technique to master, and a PR to shatter. Hard work is the only true path to success.
There is nothing here (yet).
