How important is failure to you?

Well, when most people think about failure they usually correlate it with something they can not go back to. To me, failure is one of the most important things you could ever do in life. Do it, and do it, and do it, over and over, and over again. Aren’t we always evolving? Does it not take experience and some form of learning to grow? If you touch a hot skillet with a bare hand and get burnt, does that mean you will never grab a hot skillet again? No! You grab a tissue and try it again (silly), and after that, you try it again with maybe a glove! Success!

Life is not so black and white as that. It’s not like success is something definitive for everyone. We define our own success right? If you don’t, you should. Sit down. Grab a piece of paper…and write down the things that you would consider make you a successful person in life. Are you funny? Can you snatch 245lbs like its your job? Do people open up to you easily? Can you count the alphabet backwards while eating a slice of pizza? Yeah, good luck with that last one! Once you write all of these down, turn the paper over and write down the things that you wish to be successful at. Once you have these two lists, look it over. Analyze it. Do these thing really make you happy? If they do, then go after them one failure at a time… And then when you hit everyone of these, I dare you to do this process all over again. I am sure you will fill both sides of that paper up again. You see, success is never ending and the more you fail, get back up, and attempt in a new way based on your learnings, the closer you will get! Now go out there and fail. Fail hard. Over and over and over again… Become your own inspiration by taking on things you think you can’t until you can.

Failure is very important to me? Do you have a story of a time failure got you somewhere?
